Property owners are responsible for obtaining all permits. The approval process takes approximately five to seven business days. Please plan your project accordingly.

Payment & Fees:
Only Cash, Checks, and Money Orders are accepted.
Fees must be submitted with the building permit application.
Forms must be complete and contain the following information for the following:
Siding and Curbs:
No drawings are needed.
Sidewalks and Driveways:
Amount of concrete required.
No drawing needed.
Signs:
Type and size of sign and footage required, also type, size, and footage of any existing signs.
Front footage of the building is also required.
Fences:
A drawing is required showing where the fence will be located on the property.
Maximum height for fences is 6 feet. Fences on the corner of streets and/or alleys must not exceed a height of 3.5 feet for a distance of 25 feet from the corner of the lot.
Fences may be constructed up to the property line, but it is not recommended.
All setback measurements (frontage, property lines, streets, alleys, etc.
Swimming pools must be enclosed by a fence with a minimum height of 5 feet.
Setbacks:
Front - 25 feet minimum
Side - 5 feet minimum, 10 feet minimum for side lot bordered by an alley
Rear - 5 feet minimum, 10 feet minimum for rear lot bordered by an alley
Corner Lots - 25 feet minimum for each side adjacent to street
Lot Coverage:
Lot coverage not to exceed 33%
Erosion and Sediment Control :
An erosion and sediment control approval letter is required prior to any earth-disturbing activity which will disturb greater than or equal to one acre of land. See the Developers, Contractor and Homebuilders Guide
Water & Sewer Taps:
Building permits for new construction must also pay a water and sewer tap fee.
